Search for order flow software for Mac and the results are discouraging: the platforms everyone names — ATAS, Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, Quantower — are all Windows-only. The usual advice is to run Windows inside your Mac (Parallels, VMware) or beside it (Boot Camp on Intel machines). It works, but it means a Windows licence, extra RAM and CPU, and a virtual machine to babysit.
Why footprint platforms skipped macOS
Order-flow engines were built on Windows, for the .NET and native charting stacks that dominate futures trading, and the audience was almost entirely on Windows. Porting a tick-rate rendering engine to a second operating system is real work with little payoff if your users never asked — so most vendors never did it. The result is a genuine gap: a Mac-first trader who wants a footprint chart has almost no native option.

How the native Mac build connects
This is the honest part, and it matters for how you plan your setup. On Windows, Senzoukria can read your existing NinjaTrader or Quantower feed through a local bridge. Those bridges are Windows-only for a simple reason: NinjaTrader and Quantower are themselves Windows-only, so there is nothing to bridge to on a Mac.
So on macOS you connect one of two ways instead:
- Rithmic direct — sign in with the Rithmic credentials your prop firm issued (Apex, 4PropTrader, Bulenox and others). Senzoukria speaks Rithmic's R | Protocol natively, so no NinjaTrader install is involved at all. It stays read-only on the broker side — it routes no orders.
- Crypto — connect a supported crypto exchange feed directly for footprint and heatmap on those markets.
If your only path to data is a Windows-bound NinjaTrader feed you cannot move, a Mac build will not conjure it — you would still need Rithmic access. But if you have Rithmic credentials (most funded futures accounts do), the Mac build gives you native footprint with no Windows layer in the middle.
What the beta is, and is not

The engine did not change: the same Rust core computes footprint, delta and imbalance identically on every OS. What is still labelled beta is macOS packaging and notarization, not the charts. We would rather call it beta than oversell it.

ATAS, Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader and Quantower have no native macOS build, so on a Mac they need Parallels, VMware Fusion, CrossOver/Wine or a Boot Camp partition (Intel Macs only). That adds a Windows licence, resource overhead and a second thing to maintain. A native macOS app avoids all of it.
- Is the macOS build stable enough to trade on?
- It is in beta, and we say so plainly. The engine is identical to the Windows build — the same Rust order-flow core, the same charts — and the port changed zero engine lines. What is still settling is macOS-specific packaging and notarization.
