Order flow software for Mac is no longer limited to Windows workarounds. Senzoukria ships a native macOS beta, and ATAS lists ATAS X beta for macOS (checked 11 September 2026). Classic ATAS remains Windows-based. Compare the exact edition, data entitlement and workflow, not just the platform name.
Why footprint platforms skipped macOS
Order-flow engines were built on Windows, for the .NET and native charting stacks that dominate futures trading, and the audience was almost entirely on Windows. Porting a tick-rate rendering engine to a second operating system is real work with different packaging, graphics and testing requirements. Native choices now exist; a Mac trader should check both the footprint chart features and the supported feed before deciding.

How the native Mac build connects
This is the honest part, and it matters for how you plan your setup. On Windows, Senzoukria can read your existing NinjaTrader or Quantower feed through a local bridge. Those bridges are Windows-only for a simple reason: NinjaTrader and Quantower are themselves Windows-only, so there is nothing to bridge to on a Mac.
So on macOS you connect one of two ways instead:
- Rithmic direct — sign in with the Rithmic credentials your prop firm issued (Apex, 4PropTrader, Bulenox and others). Senzoukria speaks Rithmic's R | Protocol natively, so no NinjaTrader install is involved at all. Manual orders are supported; optional strategy autopilot requires explicit arming. Confirm execution and automation permissions with your firm.
- Crypto — connect a supported crypto exchange feed directly for footprint and heatmap on those markets.
If your only path to data is a Windows-bound NinjaTrader feed you cannot move, a Mac build will not conjure it — you would still need Rithmic access. But if you have Rithmic credentials (most funded futures accounts do), the Mac build gives you native footprint with no Windows layer in the middle.
What the beta is, and is not

The engine did not change: the same Rust core computes footprint, delta and imbalance identically on every OS. What is still labelled beta is macOS packaging and notarization, not the charts. We would rather call it beta than oversell it.

- Can I run ATAS or Sierra Chart on a Mac?
- ATAS X beta runs natively on macOS; Classic ATAS still needs Windows. Sierra Chart is a different product with its own requirements. Consult each vendor’s current download and support documentation rather than treating every edition as Windows-only.
- Is the macOS build stable enough to trade on?
- It is in beta, and we say so plainly. The engine is identical to the Windows build — the same Rust order-flow core, the same charts — and the port changed zero engine lines. What is still settling is macOS-specific packaging and notarization.
