Best Prop Firms for Order Flow Traders (2026): Ranked by Data Access

Prop-firm rankings compare evaluation prices and drawdown rules. None of them answer the question an order-flow trader actually has: once you are in, can you plug your own footprint, DOM and heatmap tools into the account? That is decided by one thing — whether the firm issues you real market-data credentials. We build a desktop order-flow platform that connects to Rithmic, so we know, firm by firm, which ones do. This page ranks prop firms by data access, and by data access alone.

Disclosure: some links on this page are partner links, and the code SENZOUKRIA gets you the firm's best current discount. That never changes the ranking below — the ranking is about data access, and it says so where a partner appears.

To be explicit about what this page is not: it is not a ranking of the best firm to get funded at. Payout handling, account rules and evaluation pricing change constantly and we do not track them — verify all of that with the firm. What we can rank, because we test it with our own software, is whether a firm's stack physically lets you run your own order-flow analysis tools against your account's feed.

The one criterion that matters

Some firms issue you your own Rithmic credentials — a username, a password and a system name. Those credentials are a door into the market-data feed itself. Any Rithmic-compatible tool, ours or anyone else's, can sign in with them and read your live feed: footprint, DOM depth, order flow. You chart with whatever you choose, and you are not locked into the platform the firm bundles.

Other firms run web-only or proprietary platforms and issue no external data credentials at all. There is no door. Nothing can connect — not our software, not any competitor's — and you chart with whatever the firm bundles, full stop. Neither model is dishonest, but they are different products, and most rankings never mention the difference.

ModelWhat you getWhat it means for your tools
Own Rithmic credentialsA username / password / system name that reads the data feed directlyAny Rithmic-compatible platform can chart your account
Bundled platform onlyA login to the firm's own charting stack, no external credentialsNo external tool can connect; you use what is bundled

Tier 1 — you get your own Rithmic credentials

These six firms are Rithmic-based, and our verification is concrete: each is a supported connection in our shipped desktop app, signing in with the credentials the firm issues. The firms where our testing surfaced a data caveat — 4PropTrader's intermittent history, Bulenox's missing archive — are listed last, with the caveat stated plainly.

  • Apex Trader Funding — the default platform is NinjaTrader, and Rithmic credentials are issued alongside it. In our testing, historical tick data is available on evaluation accounts — we load full sessions into a footprint — and live depth works. Historical depth is not offered. If you are on Apex, our Apex setup guide covers both connection paths.
  • Lucid Trading — Rithmic-based with standard trader credentials. A supported connection in our desktop app; sign in with what the firm gave you.
  • BluSky — Rithmic-based with standard trader credentials, same picture as Lucid: the login the firm issues is the login your analysis tool uses.
  • Take Profit Trader — Rithmic-based with standard trader credentials, and a supported connection in our app.
  • 4PropTrader (partner — 4proptrader.com/senzoukria, code SENZOUKRIA) — Rithmic-based. Live data is unaffected in our testing, but on paper and evaluation accounts historical-data requests are granted intermittently: sometimes a backfill loads, sometimes the request is refused, and we have not identified the pattern. Plan around live data and treat any backfill as a bonus.
  • Bulenox — Rithmic-based and live data is fine, but in our testing their system has no historical archive at all. A chart backfills from live data only, so you build history forward from the moment you connect.

Tier 2 — own platform, no external credentials

Topstep, MyFundedFutures and Alpha Futures have moved off Rithmic: new accounts no longer receive Rithmic credentials, and each now runs its own platform stack. We removed them from our supported list for exactly that reason. To be clear, these are established funding programmes and this is not a judgement on their funding terms — but on the criterion this page ranks, the answer is plain: your charting is whatever they bundle, and no external order-flow tool can read the feed.

A related category is WealthCharts-based firms. The WealthCharts platform is web-only with no external data API, so it is impossible to connect any desktop tool — ours included. If a firm you are considering runs on it, the data-access question is already answered.

Where FundedSeat fits

FundedSeat (partner — fundedseat.link/senzoukria, code SENZOUKRIA) is a firm we work with, but we have not verified its data backend, so it does not appear in the Rithmic-verified tier above — partner status does not buy a place in the ranking. Before you purchase, ask the firm directly which platform a funded account runs on and whether external data credentials are issued, and hold the answer to the same checklist below.

What to check before you buy — any firm

  • Do they issue your own data credentials? Ask for the specifics: a Rithmic username, password and system name, not just a login to their platform.
  • Is historical data enabled on evaluation accounts? Some firms enable it only on funded accounts, some intermittently, some not at all — and a footprint chart without backfill starts every session empty.
  • Is depth included? Live DOM depth and historical tick data are separate entitlements. Ask about each one by name.
  • Do the rules allow read-only third-party software? Most firms restrict execution and automation, not analysis — but read the terms and confirm.
  • Get it in writing. Entitlements and platform stacks change; an email from support dated before your purchase is worth more than any comparison page, this one included.

The compliance question

Read-only analysis software is not what prop-firm rules prohibit — unauthorised execution and automation are. A tool that signs in with market-data credentials, draws charts and routes no orders does none of the things those prohibitions describe, though the terms are the firm's to write and yours to read. The reasoning, rule by rule, is in our guide to order-flow software and prop-firm rules, and the product-side argument — why our platform is read-only by construction — is in our compliance build notes.

The limits of this ranking

Firm rules, platform stacks and data entitlements change constantly, which is why this page contains no evaluation prices, no drawdown numbers and no payout terms — verify all current rules with the firm before paying. This is a ranking of data access for order-flow tooling, not of funding quality, and our verification method is exactly as narrow as stated: these firms' credentials work in our own shipped software. Where we note a nuance — Apex history, Bulenox's missing archive, 4PropTrader's intermittent backfill — it is what we measured ourselves, and your account's entitlement may differ.

Already hold Rithmic credentials from your firm? Senzoukria signs in with them directly — it speaks Rithmic's protocol natively and routes no orders. On Apex specifically, see the dedicated setup guide.

Frequently asked questions

Which prop firms give you your own Rithmic credentials?
The firms we have verified as Rithmic-based are Apex Trader Funding, Lucid Trading, 4PropTrader, BluSky, Bulenox and Take Profit Trader. Verified means each is a supported connection in our shipped desktop platform, signing in with the credentials the firm issues. Entitlements still differ per firm: in our testing Apex includes historical tick data on evaluation accounts, Bulenox has no historical archive, and 4PropTrader grants historical requests intermittently on paper accounts.
Can I use my own charting software with a funded account?
If the firm issues you real data credentials — a Rithmic username, password and system name — then yes: any tool that speaks the feed’s protocol can chart it, and read-only analysis is not what prop-firm rules prohibit (unauthorised execution and automation are). If the firm runs its own platform and issues no external credentials, then no tool can connect, whoever the vendor is. Confirm your firm’s rules on third-party software before you connect anything.
Does Topstep give you Rithmic data credentials?
Not on new accounts. Topstep — along with MyFundedFutures and Alpha Futures — has moved to its own platform stack, and new accounts no longer receive Rithmic credentials. They remain established funding programmes; the trade-off is that your charting is whatever their platform bundles, and external order-flow tools, ours included, cannot read the feed.
Does Apex include historical data with its Rithmic credentials?
In our testing, historical tick data is available on Apex evaluation accounts — we load full sessions into footprint charts. Historical depth is not offered; live depth is. The default platform is NinjaTrader, and the Rithmic credentials are issued alongside it, so an external tool can connect either through Rithmic directly or by bridging the NinjaTrader feed.
Is FundedSeat Rithmic-based?
We have not verified FundedSeat’s data backend, which is why it does not appear in our Rithmic-verified tier. It is a partner of ours — code SENZOUKRIA — and that is precisely why we hold it to the same standard as everyone else: before you buy, ask the firm which platform and which data credentials a funded account actually receives.
Can desktop order-flow tools connect to WealthCharts-based prop firms?
No. The WealthCharts platform is web-only with no external data API, so no desktop tool — ours included — can connect to it. If a firm’s stack is WealthCharts-based, your charting is what the platform provides, full stop. That is not a judgement on the firm’s funding terms; it is a statement about where your analysis tools can and cannot run.
