Broker account panel in Tracker mode

What it does

The header keeps the balance and the day result pinned, with the account number and the connection profile name underneath. Next to them, two reported risk figures: the daily loss limit and the trailing drawdown used against its limit, exactly as the broker publishes them. A dash appears when the broker reports nothing — never a zero that could be mistaken for remaining room.

Below the header come the order ticket and the flatten-all control, then the live position for the chart's instrument with its average price, the market price and today's realised result. Three management buttons act on that position: Reverse, which closes and reopens the other way in one order; Close ½, which sends half the size at market; and BE, which places a protective stop at the entry price and stays greyed out until the market has moved past the entry.

A stop and target row lets you type both prices and send them as two orders opposite the position, linked so a fill on one cancels the other. They then appear in the working-orders list below, each with its own Cancel button, classified with the same helper the chart overlay uses so the list and the lines agree.

Further down: Today's trade count, win rate and best and worst trade; a collapsible account switcher; the autopilot and copy-trading sections; and the closed-trade history read from the synced journal, always shown per account and never merged across accounts.

The unrealised result shown on the position is recomputed from the live price when one is available, because the broker's profit and loss plant does not publish on every tick and the number would otherwise advance in jumps. Without a live price the broker's own value is kept.

How to use it

  • Pick the connection in "Switch trading account"; the active account number stays visible in the header.
  • Drag the left handle to widen the panel, or focus it and use the arrow keys; Enter returns to the default width.
  • Use the working-orders list rather than the chart when you need the exact reported price and the raw order type.
  • Read "None on this instrument" together with the line below it: orders resting on another contract are counted so an empty list is never mistaken for a silent feed.

Limits and pitfalls

Flatten-all in this panel acts on the account, while the quick ticket's flatten on the chart closes only the instrument in front of you. The distinction is deliberate.

After sending a stop and target pair, the panel may ask you to confirm that you have checked positions and working orders on the original broker account. That confirmation clears the notice only; it places no order.

Market data remains billed by your provider, and every figure here is what the broker reports. The panel neither estimates limits nor fills gaps in them.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the BE button greyed out?
A break-even stop is only valid once the market has moved past the entry. Placing it at the entry price while the market sits on the wrong side would already be through the level, which is a disguised close rather than a protection.
Why does the history say it is waiting for the account number?
Closed trades are shown per account and never merged across accounts. Until the account feed reports which account is active, the panel has nothing it can attribute correctly.
Does the panel place orders by itself?
No. Only the order ticket and the flatten control send orders from this panel, plus the position management buttons which build drafts routed through the same path.
