Prop firm rules form and drawer: enter your own account rules

The Prop firm rules drawer opens from the Performance panel of Replay. Its form captures the evaluation, funded and fee rules of your own account as text fields, converts them once on save into a validated rule set, and stores it locally for the simulation, the evaluation card and the Gauntlet.

What it does

The drawer keeps the thirty-field form off the Replay page until you need it. Escape closes it, a mouse press on the backdrop closes it, and focus moves to the close button on open. The intro is explicit: “Enter the rules of YOUR account. You have them on your firm's dashboard — we would only be guessing.” Closing the drawer unmounts the form, so an unsaved draft is gone: save before you close.

Fields hold strings while you type. Conversion to numbers happens once, on "Save these rules"; missing or unreadable fields are listed under "Still missing:" together with rule inconsistencies found by validateRuleSet. A saved set is versioned by lineage, marked verification "user", and named with your label or, if empty, the program id.

Evaluation and funded phases are two separate blocks. The "Copy the evaluation rules" button fills the funded block from the evaluation one, never automatically, with the warning that most firms change the drawdown and add a consistency rule after funding.

How to use it

  • Start from a preset only if your firm, program and size match exactly; sizes are not proportional and a 100K is not a 50K times two.
  • Presets are templates or partially verified sets; the simulation shows a blocking caveat until you load, correct and save them as your own.
  • Name the set after your account ("my Apex 50K") so that the pickers in the simulation and the evaluation card stay readable.

Limits or pitfalls

The catalogue lists ten firms but ships rules for five 50K programs only; the other entries are identity-only and offer no preset. Rules on affiliate sites expire without notice, which is why the software asks you to type yours.

The form does not read your firm's dashboard or contract. A value typed wrong produces a pass rate that is exactly wrong, so double-check the drawdown mode and the consistency consequence against your agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my firm listed but no preset appears?
Only sizes whose rules were collected carry a rule set; the rest are deliberately left empty rather than filled with plausible values. Pick "Blank form" and enter the rules from your dashboard.
What happens if I save with a field missing?
Nothing is stored. The form lists the missing fields under "Still missing:" together with any inconsistency between rules, and you can fix them and save again.
Does the drawer keep my draft when I close it?
No. The form only exists while the drawer is open, so closing it discards anything not yet saved. Press “Save these rules” first; a saved set is then listed by the simulation and the evaluation card, and the button shows “none saved” only while no set exists.
