6J contract specifications
The trading unit is 12,500,000 yen, quoted in U.S. dollars per Japanese yen. The minimum fluctuation on CME Globex is $0.0000005 per Japanese yen, equal to $6.25 per contract; two ticks make $0.000001, or $12.50. Open contracts are settled by physical delivery of the currency on the third Wednesday of the contract month. Senzoukria's contract table holds the same tick and multiplier.
6J last trading day and next contracts
Trading ends on the second business day preceding the third Wednesday of the contract month. If the computed last trading day is a bank holiday in Chicago or New York, trading ends on the preceding business day common to both cities' banks and the exchange.
For 6JZ6, the default moves to the next listed month on December 10, 2026 (4 calendar days before December 14, 2026), and 6JZ6 stays selectable with its badge until that date. The exchange calendar also lists other months (F, G, J, K, N, Q, V, X); Senzoukria's catalogue uses H, M, U, Z to choose its default contract.

6J tick value and P&L arithmetic
- One tick = $0.0000005 × 12,500,000 = $6.25.
- 20 millionths ($0.00002) = 40 ticks = $250 per contract.
- On 3 contracts, the same move is $750.
Reading 6J order flow
With row resolution off, a 6J footprint has one row per $0.0000005 tick. The fixed steps give 2 ticks = $0.000001, 4 ticks = $0.000002, 8 ticks = $0.000004, 16 ticks = $0.000008, 32 ticks = $0.000016 per row. Grouping keeps totals exact but the POC then names a row, not a price.
6J is quoted in U.S. dollars per yen, the inverse of the usual USD/JPY quote: when the dollar buys more yen, 6J falls. Its tick of $0.0000005 per yen, called a half tick in the rulebook, is finer than the millionth of a dollar to which Senzoukria's depth pipeline rounds Rithmic prices, so the DOM and the heatmap cannot separate two adjacent 6J levels; the app's code documents this as a known limit.
Using 6J in Senzoukria
- Symbol picker on a Rithmic or Databento CME source: type 6J; on September 25, 2026 the listed contract is 6JZ6 (December 2026), in the Currencies family.
- Replay lists 6J in the Currencies group. In the automatic backtest, set Point value ($) to 12,500,000, the dollar value of a move of one dollar per Japanese yen; the field defaults to 2.
- CME currency futures are a different market from spot forex: centralized book, exchange volume and a delivery date. Senzoukria reads them through a futures connection, not through a forex broker.

Frequently asked questions
- How much is one 6J tick worth?
- $6.25. The tick is $0.0000005 per Japanese yen and the contract is 12,500,000 yen, so 0.0000005 × 12,500,000 = $6.25.
- Why does 6J go down when USD/JPY goes up?
- Because 6J is priced in dollars per yen, while USD/JPY is quoted in yen per dollar. One is roughly the reciprocal of the other, so a stronger dollar lowers 6J.
