M6E contract specifications

The trading unit is 12,500 euros, quoted in U.S. dollars per euro. The minimum fluctuation on CME Globex is $0.0001 per euro, equal to $1.25 per contract; one tick is one pip. M6E last trading day and next contracts

Trading ends on the second business day preceding the third Wednesday of the contract month. Like 6E, M6E carries the euro-specific adjustment tied to the Eurosystem settlement calendar and to Chicago and New York bank holidays.

For M6EZ6, the default moves to the next listed month on December 10, 2026 (4 calendar days before December 14, 2026), and M6EZ6 stays selectable with its badge until that date.

M6E tick value and P&L arithmetic

  • One tick = $0.0001 × 12,500 = $1.25.
  • 20 pips ($0.002) = 20 ticks = $25 per contract.
  • On 3 contracts, the same move is $75.
  • The same 20 pips on 6E are $250 per contract.

Reading M6E order flow

With row resolution off, an M6E footprint has one row per $0.0001 tick. The fixed steps give 2 ticks = $0.0002, 4 ticks = $0.0004, 8 ticks = $0.0008, 16 ticks = $0.0016, 32 ticks = $0.0032 per row. Grouping keeps totals exact but the POC then names a row, not a price.

M6E is one tenth of 6E in size, but its tick is not one tenth of 6E's: the rulebook sets M6E's minimum fluctuation at a full pip ($0.0001), twice 6E's half-pip. An M6E footprint therefore has one row per pip with grouping off, and its levels are coarser than 6E's. The two books are separate; a 6E print never appears on M6E.

Using M6E in Senzoukria

  • Symbol picker on a Rithmic or Databento CME source: type M6E; on September 25, 2026 the listed contract is M6EZ6 (December 2026), in the Currencies family.
  • Replay lists M6E in the Currencies group. In the automatic backtest, set Point value ($) to 12,500, the dollar value of a move of one dollar per euro; the field defaults to 2.
  • CME currency futures are a different market from spot forex: centralized book, exchange volume and a delivery date. Senzoukria reads them through a futures connection, not through a forex broker.

Frequently asked questions

How much is one M6E tick worth?
$1.25. The tick is $0.0001 per euro and the contract is 12,500 euros, so 0.0001 × 12,500 = $1.25.
Why is the M6E tick larger than the 6E tick?
Because the rulebook sets M6E's minimum fluctuation at $0.0001 per euro, a full pip, while 6E trades in half-pips of $0.00005. With 12,500 euros per contract, one M6E tick is $1.25; 6E's half-pip on 125,000 euros is $6.25.
