MET contract specifications

The trading unit is 0.1 ether, valued on the CME CF Ether Reference Rate. The minimum increment is $0.50 per ether, equal to $0.05 per contract (intermonth spreads trade in $0.10 steps). Delivery is by cash settlement on the reference rate published at 4 p.m. London time on the last trading day. Senzoukria's contract table holds the same tick and multiplier on the CME venue code.

MET last trading day and next contracts

Trading ends at 4 p.m. London time on the last Friday of the contract month if that day is a business day in the UK or the US; if it is a business day in neither, trading ends on the preceding day that is a business day in either.

On September 25, 2026 the picker already defaults to METV6 and still lists METU6 with an "exp" badge until September 25, 2026, the last day its engine gives that contract. For METV6, the default moves to the next listed month on October 26, 2026 (4 calendar days before October 30, 2026), and METV6 stays selectable with its badge until that date.

December 25, 2026 is Christmas Day, so the exchange calendar puts the METZ6 last trading day on December 24, 2026. Senzoukria's expiry engine counts Monday to Friday without a holiday table and uses December 25, 2026 instead, so its picker keeps METZ6 listed until then.

MET tick value and P&L arithmetic

  • One tick = $0.50 × 0.1 = $0.05.
  • A $10 move in ether = 20 ticks = $1 per contract.
  • The same $10 on ETH = $500 per contract.
  • One tick of slippage in the automatic backtest costs $0.05 per contract on each entry.

Reading MET order flow

With row resolution off, an MET footprint has one row per $0.50 tick. The fixed steps give 2 ticks = 1, 4 ticks = 2, 8 ticks = 4, 16 ticks = 8, 32 ticks = 16 dollars per row. For comparison, Senzoukria's crypto screen groups the ETHUSDT pairs at a default step of $0.10, a display choice over a much finer exchange quote.

MET covers 0.1 ether with ETH's $0.50 tick, so a tick is worth only $0.05 and a $10 move in ether is $1 per contract. It is its own CME book, distinct from ETH and from the ETHUSDT pairs of crypto exchanges.

Using MET in Senzoukria

  • Symbol picker on a Rithmic or Databento CME source: type MET; on September 25, 2026 the listed contract is METV6 (October 2026), in the Crypto Futures (CME) family.
  • The crypto screen (Binance Spot, Binance Perp, Bybit) is a separate, analysis-only surface; MET is read through a futures connection, like ES or CL.
  • Replay lists MET in the Crypto (CME futures) group. In the automatic backtest, set Point value ($) to 0.1; the field defaults to 2.
