Navigation bar and Sz menu: drawer, toolbar slot, broker badge, Detach
The single top bar of the Senzoukria desktop app is also its title bar. It holds the Sz menu drawer, the module toolbar slot, the broker badge, the Detach button and the window controls.

Where to find it
- Where
- Top of every window; the hamburger button at the far left opens the drawer
- Close the drawer
- Click a link, click the backdrop, or press Esc
- Window controls
- Minimize, Maximize/Restore, Close at the right; hidden on macOS where the native traffic lights are used
What it does
The app runs without the OS title bar (decorations off), so the navigation bar is the title bar: empty areas of it drag the window, and the bar hosts the window controls. The same bar appears in detached windows with two differences: a coloured dot and the module title replace the broker badge and the Detach button.
The Sz menu is a drawer that slides in from the left (280 px). It is the only navigation path of the app, which is why it also records the module you left for the "Report a problem" screen and plays the page-navigation sound if sounds are on.
Elements of the bar
| Element | Behaviour | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hamburger (Sz menu) | Opens the drawer with 16 links | Welcome, Footprint, Heatmap, Trading, GEX, Option Flow, News, Journal, AI Agents, Replay, Scripting, Guide, Settings, Account, Report a problem, About |
| Logo | Drag region | The wordmark is not shown here; it lives on the Welcome screen and in the drawer header |
| Toolbar slot | Receives the chart control row | On /footprint, /heatmap and /replay the module portals its compact controls into this slot; one occupant per route |
| Broker badge | "CONNECTED", "No broker" or "…" while checking | Tooltip shows the ready profile name, or "N saved" when profiles exist but none is ready |
| ⧉ Detach | Opens the current module in its own window | Shown only on detachable routes; disabled with a reason on GEX when the OPRA tier is active |
| Window controls | Minimize, Maximize or Restore, Close | Not rendered on macOS |
How to use it
Open the drawer, pick a destination; the drawer closes on its own. Esc closes it without navigating. Body scrolling is locked while the drawer is open, so a long page does not move behind it.
In a detached window, the drawer does not navigate on the spot: the requested route is relayed to the main window, which opens it and comes to the front. Only the routes mounted by the main window are accepted (the same list as the drawer), and a deep link with a hash such as /settings#stg-ai is preserved.
The Settings toggle "Keep pages alive in the background" changes what happens when you leave News, the assistant or the scripting page through the drawer: with it on, those screens stay mounted and return instantly; with it off, only the current screen lives.
Limits or pitfalls
Details that are easy to miss:
- The broker badge reflects the real connection store, not saved credentials: "3 saved" in the tooltip with "No broker" as the label means profiles exist but none is connected.
- The Footprint route is mounted once per session and hidden when you leave it; that is what makes the return instant and why its bridge or Rithmic subscription survives navigation.
- Ctrl+Shift+F shows or hides the FPS meter in the main window; the choice is remembered between launches.
- The Rithmic attribution is not in this bar any more: it is drawn on the chart fed by Rithmic and on the About page.

Frequently asked questions
- Where did "Edit broker settings" go?
- It moved to the Account page, inside the "Broker connection" card, on 2026-07-28. Configuring a broker is a one-time gesture and no longer occupies the bar you look at all day.
- Why is the Detach button greyed out on GEX?
- Detaching GEX is unavailable on the OPRA tier in this version. The button shows the reason as a tooltip and stays disabled.
- Why can I not close the app from the bar on macOS?
- On macOS the window uses the native overlay title bar, so the traffic lights at the top left handle minimize, zoom and close; the custom controls are not drawn.
