Does installing close the app?

Yes. The installer must replace files that are locked while the app runs, so the app closes and the Windows installer takes over.

Can I go back to the previous version?

On Windows, Account → Versions lets you install an earlier build; “Install & pin” keeps you on it until you resume automatic updates.

Senzoukria update fails: “Install failed” or a version refused on the Versions card

Senzoukria verifies every installer’s signature before running it. An update can fail in the startup prompt (“Install failed: …”) or on the Versions card, which names the reason: no signature published, signature mismatch, download error, or a platform where in-app installs are not available.

What you see

In the “Update available” prompt, clicking “Install now” ends with “Install failed: {error}”. On Account → Versions, an install can end with “version {v} ships no signature — refused”, “signature does not match — installer refused”, “release asset is not hosted on the official repository — refused”, “download failed: …”, “download interrupted: …” or “could not write the installer: …”. Builds without a published signature are listed as “unavailable”.

Why it happens

Signatures are verified before anything is launched; an installer that does not match its signature, or that is not hosted on the official release repository, is refused. Download and disk errors stop the install before the installer runs. Installing a chosen version from the Versions card runs the Windows installer and is available on Windows only.

The startup check never blocks the app: network errors, outages or a missing signature on the latest release simply end the check.

How to fix it

Retry once your connection is stable; a new attempt downloads the installer again.
Free disk space if the installer could not be written.
Download the installer from the website’s download page and run it, especially on macOS or Linux.
If a version is “unavailable”, choose another listed build.

What it is not

Not a problem to bypass: a signature mismatch is exactly what the check exists to stop.
Not fixed by retrying an “unavailable” build: a build without a published signature cannot be installed from the app.
