What it does

The tab lists the notes of one month, most recent day first, with a month navigator and a note count in the header. New Note opens an inline editor — not a modal — dated today; Edit on a card reopens the editor on that card's date. Each saved note is shown as a card with the short date, a mood pill ("Mood 7/10") when a mood was set, the market-conditions tag when one was picked, and the three text sections that were filled in.

Because the note is keyed on its date, saving twice for the same day updates that day's note rather than creating a second one. Deleting asks for confirmation first.

How to use it

  • Write the Pre-Market Plan before the session and leave the editor open; the End of Day Review and Key Lessons fields are meant to be filled after the close on the same note.
  • The mood score and the conditions tag are the two fields that make a month of notes searchable by eye: the card pills let you scan for the days you felt worst without reading every paragraph.
  • The Session imprint panel pulls the day's note into its review column, preferring the End-of-day review, then the Lessons, then the Pre-market plan — so the field you fill decides what is quoted there.

Conflicts and limits

If the same day's note changed elsewhere while your editor was open, saving is refused with a conflict rather than overwriting. Your draft stays in the fields, and a button loads the saved version while preserving your draft in a collapsible block above the form, so you can copy across what you want. Nothing is merged silently.

  • Notes are free text. Nothing in a note feeds P&L, statistics or the autopilot.
  • Notes live in the local journal on this machine; they are not synced to a broker and not published anywhere.
  • Deleting a note cannot be undone from this screen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep two notes for the same day?
No. The note is keyed on its date, so saving again for that date updates the existing note. Use the three sections — plan, review, lessons — to separate the moments of the day.
What happens if I edit the same note in two places?
The second save is refused with a conflict. Your draft is kept in the fields, and one button loads the saved version while preserving your draft in a block you can copy from.
Does the mood score affect any statistic?
No. Mood and market conditions are labels on the note; the Dashboard tab computes its statistics from trades only.
