Lucid Trading and order flow software: automation allowed, one system name

Lucid Trading issues Rithmic credentials whose username begins with LT-, and uses a single system name, LucidTrading, for both the evaluation and the LucidPro funded account. It is also one of the few firms whose own position on third-party software and automation via Rithmic is stated rather than left for support to interpret case by case.

One system name through the whole account

A Rithmic connection needs a gateway, a system name and credentials. Lucid uses LucidTrading for both phases, so a connection built during the evaluation keeps working when the account converts to LucidPro. That is a small thing until you compare it with firms that switch system names at conversion, where an unchanged profile fails at login with an error that looks exactly like a wrong password.

The credentials are issued by Lucid and are not the dashboard login. Their username starts with LT-, which is a quick way to confirm you are holding the right pair before blaming the platform for a refusal.

The automation question has an answer here

Most firms leave third-party software and unattended automation to the account agreement, and traders end up reading clauses or asking support. Lucid states that custom software and automation through Rithmic are allowed. That makes the compliance question short rather than ambiguous.

Short is not the same as absent. Permission from the firm is still the trader's to hold, terms change, and a statement on a website is not a contract clause. Keep written confirmation of anything you intend to rely on, and reread the agreement when the account converts. Senzoukria will not route a strategy to a connected account without an explicit arming step, a typed confirmation and an acknowledgement that the firm permits automation, which is a deliberate friction: that acknowledgement is a statement by the trader, not a verification the software can perform.

What the feed carries

The one concurrent market-data session per login rule applies here as on every Rithmic account, so a charting platform and R | Trader Pro cannot both hold the feed.

  • Trades with the aggressor side, which is what splits volume into bid and ask on a footprint chart.
  • Depth of market, for the DOM ladder and the liquidity heatmap.
  • Historical bars and ticks through the History plant, subject to the entitlements on the account.
  • Positions, working orders, fills and P&L, which a trade journal reads to rebuild a session.

Frequently asked questions

What system name do I use for a Lucid funded account?
LucidTrading, the same as the evaluation. The connection does not have to be rebuilt when the account becomes LucidPro.
Does Lucid allow automated strategies?
The firm states that custom software and automation through Rithmic are allowed. Confirm the current terms for your own account in writing before arming a strategy, since terms change and the permission is yours to hold, not the software's.
