“no ticks for {day} — market closed that day, or nothing archived” in Replay

What you see

The Replay load ends with “no ticks for {day} — market closed that day, or nothing archived (codes: …)”. The codes list is often empty.

Why it happens

The broker served the day without any trade. The two usual reasons are named in the message. The CME was closed that day (holidays are not known to the app; the date picker marks weekends with “The CME does not trade on weekends”). Or nothing is archived for that contract and day on your system: the archive may not reach that far back, or the contract was not the active month then.

A day that is not closed yet cannot be replayed; when you come from the journal, the app selects the latest closed session instead and says so.

How to fix it

• Check the CME calendar for that date; choose another day if it was a holiday.
• Make sure the contract matches the period: an old day on the new front month, or a recent day on an expired contract, has little or nothing.
• Try a more recent day to test how far your archive goes.
• For older days, import Databento exports instead.

What it is not

• Not rp_code 13: that refusal has its own message.
• Not a network cut: a transport error is reported as such.

When none of this helps, write to support through Menu → Report a problem or on the Senzoukria Discord. Include the contract, the day and the codes shown.
