I opened this contract yesterday. Why no local data?

Check that it is the same contract month: a new front month is a different instrument with its own history. The cache also keeps a limited window of intraday history.

Can I get history without a broker?

For Replay, yes: import Databento export files. For the live chart of a futures contract, a data connection is needed at least once.

“No local data for {symbol}”: no history before your first broker login

A Senzoukria chart can open offline only on history already downloaded to the machine. For an instrument never loaded before, there is nothing to draw until the first broker connection fills the cache; another instrument may still open offline.

What you see

An empty chart with “No local data for {symbol}” and “Nothing has ever been downloaded for this instrument on this machine, so there is nothing to draw. Its history arrives on the first connection, and stays afterwards.” The notice adds: “This is a different situation from “no broker connected”: another instrument may well open offline right now, on its own cached history.” Below, a list titled “Already downloaded on this machine” offers the instruments that do have data.

Why it happens

History is stored per instrument. On a new machine, a fresh install, or for a contract you never opened, the cache is empty. Offline, the chart has no source to fill it. This notice cannot be hidden, because it is the only explanation of an empty chart.

How to fix it

Connect a broker once and open the instrument: its history is downloaded and kept for next time.
To work offline right now, pick an instrument from “Already downloaded on this machine”.
For Replay without a broker, import a folder of Databento exports: imported sessions replay with no login.
For crypto, open a Binance or Bybit pair, which uses public feeds and needs no account.

What it is not

Not a failed download: nothing was attempted offline.
Not a deleted cache when the contract is new: a new quarterly contract has its own history.

When to contact support

If the problem persists, contact support through Menu → Report a problem, or on the Senzoukria Discord. If an instrument you opened recently with a broker shows this notice, say when you last loaded it and whether the app was reinstalled or its data folder moved.
