“This instrument’s price grid is unknown”: history re-downloaded on every load

When Senzoukria does not know an instrument’s tick size, the history download still works but nothing is cached, so the whole window is downloaded again each time the chart opens. The chart looks normal; the notice is the only sign.

What you see

The toolbar notice reads “This instrument’s price grid is unknown, so its history is not being cached — it is re-downloaded from the broker on every load. Add its tick size to the instrument catalogue to fix it.” Bars display normally, but opening the chart again takes as long as the first time.

Why it happens

Footprint bars are stored on a price grid: each cell sits on a multiple of the tick size. When the tick size stays unknown, the backend cannot file the levels safely, so it serves the bars to the chart without writing them to the cache and marks the download with an internal code. The chart then warns you, because otherwise this case is invisible. The notice is placed after the closed-market and refusal notices: those, when present, are what you need to read first.

How to fix it

Open the contract from the symbol picker, where catalogued instruments show their tick next to the symbol; a catalogued root is filed correctly.
Check the symbol spelling: a typo can produce an instrument the catalogue does not know.
The catalogue ships with the app and has no editor in the 0.46.0 interface. If the contract is a real one you trade, report it so its tick size can be added.
Meanwhile, keep the history range short for that contract to limit the repeated download.

What it is not

Not a broker problem: the download worked.
Not missing data: the bars are correct, they are just not kept.

When to contact support

Send the exact contract symbol and exchange with Menu → Report a problem, or post them on the Senzoukria Discord, so the instrument can be added to the catalogue.
